MODMAN.CFG - Go down a bit to find the actual configuration!
Anything before the line that starts with [MODMANCONFIG] is a comment.
After that, you have to follow the config format strictly. Putting a ~
on a line will make MODMAN ignore everything after it. To comment out a
whole line, the first character must be a ~.
Any lines after [MODMANCONFIG] that do not belong will cause errors if
they do not start with a ~. This means that you can't have any blank
lines. If you want to add space to make the file more readable, just
add a few lines with a ~ and nothing else on them.
*** CONFIG FILE FORMAT
Starting after [MODMANCONFIG] line:
line 1: number of players - up to 39
line 2: default player to use on startup. If you use a number larger
than the number of players, the default will be 1.
Then the player records:
There must be *at least* as many player records as the number of
players specified on the first line. If the file ends too early, you'll
get an error message. If there are more players in the file than you
have specified, the ones at the end just won't be shown.
line 1: '***'
line 2: Description of player - up to 36 characters
line 3: Version of player - up to 5 characters
line 4: Command (EXE/COM/BAT) - up to 80 characters
The first 13 characters up to the first space character
will be displayed on the screen, split at the '.'.
i.e. "DMP.EXE -s22050"
Will appear as "DMP .EXE" on the screen
And in a batch file: "DMP.EXE -s22050 @MM0.LST"
line 5: Maximum number of MODs on one command line
If a player is used more than once in a row in the
sequence, the batch file will pass (at most) this number of
mods all on one command line. Use @ or 0 to tell MODMAN to
generate a @listfile instead. It will be passed like this:
"[info on line 4] @MM0.LST"
line 6: Module formats supported - up to 80 characters
Here's what each number means:
NOTE THAT THE NUMBERS WERE ALL CHANGED AROUND BETWEEN
VERSION 1.1 and 1.2! Sorry for the inconvenience, but it was
for the best, believe me...
